Though the life portrayed in J-drama is a work of fiction but the careful planning and implied cultural reality in the background are something to cheered upon. Heartwarming. The word that often comes up when people discuss about this specific genre. The result, less exaggerated drama through lots of unnecessary shouting or misplaces rain shower of tears. J-drama such as Sunao ni Narenakute (Hard to Say I Love You) gives a new type of love drama where you will blood stream from ordinary people characters trying make a bold statement that they need to be heard. While it is on a thriller drama.
Carefully planned, J-drama often gives a delight pre-anticipated response from the audience. It's like when you know the surprise center in a mint candy but you enjoy the treat still. Touches the corner of your bored over own cultural product's heart. This neat orchestra of life flow of a seemed to be a literature translated to on screen performance with a bibliothèque sorted from subject A to Z. Not a cup of coffee for everyone of course. But to those already dug deeper will found the escape necessary to get out of boredom, maybe.
On the other hand, J-drama is a good scoop of frame of pictures of the country aspect of life. The scenery, what the people consider important and cool or sweet (kawaii) or what is the new wave of tide to replace the obsolete kawaii. Not necessarily focus on the youth, this is the aging country also try to teach the older audience what is heartwarming to see on the cold winter, or in the busy metropolitan with almost have a scene of train (densha) in it. The escape maybe from the reality with a bite of surprised center chocolate filled with rice crispy.
